About Jeff Bradford Selections

Jeff Bradford Selections is a U.S. importer of rare, hand-distilled spirits, beer, and wine, founded by retired U.S. Army veteran, filmmaker, distiller, and documentarian Jeff Bradford. Operating under a U.S. import license, the brand brings small-producer bottles and the stories behind them from all over the world and into the U.S. market. Texas retail and on-premise placements are fulfilled directly; direct-to-consumer shipping covers 47 states (all U.S. states except Utah, Delaware, and Rhode Island). The storefront opens October 1, 2026.

Pursue the Unfamiliar

Every bottle begins somewhere: a field, a cellar, a still house, a family recipe, or a tradition passed down over generations. I travel the world to find the drinks most people never get to discover, then bring you inside the places, people, and stories that made them possible.

I believe alcohol is more than a drink. It’s a living archive, of place, people, and process. When most see a bottle, I see a journey. When shelves showcase logos, I uncover legacies. When the market chases trends, I honor heritage.

Who I am

I’m Jeff Bradford. I served 20 years in the U.S. Army before this work, and the discipline of that service shapes how I approach a producer visit, a tasting, and an import decision. I’m a filmmaker, a distiller in my own practice, and a documentarian. In 2022 I earned an MSc in Brewing and Distilling from Heriot-Watt University, the world’s foremost program in the field. I’m not a sommelier. I’m not a brand. I’m not a curator of trends. I’m a distiller and documentarian who also imports the bottles I find worth filming.

Why Jeff Bradford Selections exists

The world’s most meaningful spirits never reach the U.S. Not because they aren’t worthy, but because the voices behind them remain unheard. Small producers don’t need saving. They need a stage.

I exist for the makers who still distill by hand, who speak in dialects, and who ferment not to mass-produce, but to honor rituals passed down for generations.

What I make and where to find it

My work lives in five places:

  • Jeff Bradford Selections — the U.S. importer brand. Rare, hand-distilled spirits I personally select, work with producers on, and bring to American drinkers. Storefront opens October 1, 2026 at jeffbradfordselections.com.
  • Pursue the Unfamiliar — my video series following the unexpected discoveries I find on the way to distilleries, wineries, bars, and producers around the world.
  • Drink Destinations — my video series inside the bars and bartenders shaping drinking culture in cities around the world.
  • Shots Fired & Poured — my podcast with industry professionals, makers, historians, scientists, and thought leaders across the drinks world.
  • The Jeff Bradford YouTube channel — where Pursue the Unfamiliar and Drink Destinations live. Producer documentaries, process explainers, travel films, tastings.

You experience the world behind it.

How I source — the selection method

Every bottle in the JBS portfolio is chosen the same way: I travel to the producer, film the production, make, select, drink the spirit at the source, and bring the bottle home only if all these confirm what the label promises. There is no portfolio committee, no broker network, and no buyer in the chain who has not been to the still.

I hold a U.S. import license. That means I file the federal paperwork, clear the bottle through customs, and take legal title before the bottle reaches anyone else. The signature on the import paperwork is mine. The chain is short: producer to JBS to drinker.

My promise to drinkers

I promise discovery, not distraction. Education, not noise. Every bottle in the JBS portfolio ships with the producer’s documented story, written from a visit, signed by me, plus a link to the film I shot at the distillery. You don’t just drink what’s in the glass. You experience the world behind it.

My promise to producers

I promise dignity, not dilution. Respect, not rebranding. Your story will be told the right way, in your words, with your face on screen, and with the production scale and method honored on the label. I will never restage your traditions for a market that prefers shortcuts.
